    Description

Bruton Parish, Wren Building, The Capitol, Governor's Palace
In 1966 I received these vintage prints of pencil sketches by Charles H. Overly.
Charles H. Overly (American 1908-1970) traveled the country from the 1930’s onward sketching mostly historic or interesting building.
This artwork was most likely produced for the Williamsburg Restoration, Inc. in the 1950’s.
The prints had been water colored by a local Williamsburg artist and I had them framed under glass that same year.
The pictures have been in storage since a move in 1978.
The frames measure approx. 18 ¾”x15”x3/4”.
The prints within the matting are approx. 14”x10”.
The red in the wood frames nicely enhances the colors in the prints.
The frames are in very good sturdy condition but do have some scuff marks and minor scratches.
    Wired for hanging.
