    White on heavy construction paper with sticker of American flag.
    This was the group’s third production following the revolutionary
    Dionysus in 69.
    Schechner, remains an enormously influential figure

    professor at NYU and creator of the field of Performance Studies,
    author of many books, he created The Performance Group as a means to explore myths,
    re-invision the use of space environmentally
    which entailed not only the actors moving around an open space, but the audience as well.
    Commune
    was based around the events of the
    Charles Manson cult murder of Sharon Tate and others.
    We were the representatives for the group and this poster has been in our archives for 34 years.
    The poster was featured as part of a major exhibition,
    Visions for a Changing Theatre,
    at New York University (2003-2004).
    A COPY OF THE EXHIBITION BROCHURE WILL BE INCLUDED.
    Our archives are part of the permanent special collections at New York University
    and the University of California-Davis libraries.
