    was born in 1958 in Marseille is one of the most talented of his generation. In 1995, he received the Grand Prize at the Angoulême international comic strip festival.
    He started professionally in 1977 with a few short stories in the
    Echo of the Savannahs
    , magazine created by Marcel Gottlieb, dit Gotlib (born in 1934), Nikita Mandryka (born in 1940) and Claire Bretécher (born in 1940) all three from Pilote, a weekly comic strip magazine (from 1959 to 1989).
    He collaborates with Hara-Kiri founded by Francois Cavanna (1923 - 2014), Georges Bernier alias Professor Choron, (1929-2005) and Frédéric Othon Théodore Aristidès dit Fred (1931-2013). This magazine will notably host Topor, Reiser, Gébé, Wolinski and Cabu and will become one of the flagships of the underground culture of the 1960s.
    From the outset, Vuillemin makes people laugh to tears by the surprise of his line and the ferocity of his verb and upsets the conventions of comics.
