"The Alden Design Office was founded by John G. Alden in 1909 and his design office was, by 1932, known worldwide in part due to his "Malabar" design's success on the offshore racing scene.
John Alden is probably best known for his fast and seaworthy offshore schooners but he designed a broad range of exceptional boats that today have become true classics that turn heads as do many of their contemporaries that bear his name.
