souvenir full color POSTER from the JAPAN TOUR of the musical hit MY FAIR LADY. Written by
LERNER AND LOEWE
and directed by JAMES HAMMERSTEIN, son of Oscar Hammerstein. It starred
original “Henry Higgins,” Rex Harrison’s son NOEL HARRISON in his Father’s role, as well as future “Christine” in THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, Katherine Buffaloe.
It featured future B’way performers
, MICHAEL DEVRIES (WICKED) as Freddy, DARCY PULLIAM (SHOWBOAT) as Mrs. Pierce
and TOM SOUHRADA (MARY POPPINS)
This production was a B’way National Tour for a year prior to this tour of Japan, where it played in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka.
The dimensions are 20” x 28” and is glossy full color. It is printed on heavy glossy paper. The text is in Japanese and English. It features a beautiful photo of the end of Act 1 with most of the cast. Very well made. A truly gorgeous theatrical piece of history!
