    Description

    Mary Preminger, wife of immortal director, Otto Preminger, listed artist/sculptor, 1976 watch design drawing for a proposed collaboration with watchmaker CMI/Bowmar
    . Although Preminger made many drawings and sent out a press release to the media that an edition of 1000 18 kt gold watches of her design would be manufactured, it does not seem to have happened (see scan of press release pictured but not part of auction). Surviving however are some lovely watch designs by Preminger. The one up for sale in this auction is drawn in ink on a sheet of 7" x 10" artist's paper, it is initialed MGP and dated 5/5/76. This is one of several I will be offering. Also pictured, but not for sale in this lot, is a photographic rendering of the same
