MARX SPARKLING CLIMBING FIGHTING ARMY TANK TIN WINDUP IN BOX 30s WORKS EXC. Here is a very nice 80 close to 90 year old Marx Army Tank. Made of heavy stock tin it has just some light wear. Beautiful pre war lithography. The treads seem to be original or very old replacements. They sag a bit but, do roll rather nicely when working. They may slip a little do to this sag. There are no tears just a little brittle due to age. The sparking/ grinding wheels are still under the side guns. They function properly but, the flints are gone. The flint holders are still there, I tried a new flint but, it's not quite thick enough to squeeze into the holders,  just falls through. If you got the proper flint it has to work. Has the hook on the back of tank. The bottom looks to have had a piece of material that is stuck on. There is the bottom bar that helps the tank over rough terrain. The box is in fair condition but, it is a box for a very old toy. It did it's job in helping protect this over these many years. It has wear, tears, corners holes, repairs etc. One end is missing two end flaps while the other end is mostly complete, has all the end flaps. The toy is 10 inches long X 5 inches wide and quite heavy, very well made in the tradition of Marx. This is the only one of these toys that I have ever had in 30 years of collecting.
