The XA-1 is an innovative product developed by LUX.
The coil bobbin of MC cartridge is always susceptible to magnetism. The magnetized bobbin can respond to large movement of stylus tip and cantilever, but cannot generate electricity according to minute movement, thus degrading reproduction of subtle music signal and treble frequencies.
The XA-1 effectively removes such harmful magnetization of the bobbin, making it possible for the cartridge to exhibit its best potential.

Demagnetization of the coil can be made effectively without affecting the magnet of MC cartridge.
....Signals applied to the cartridge by the XA-1 produces magnetic field perpendicularly across that of the cartridge itself, and therefore the cartridge may not be affected by the signal.
Further, only approximately six seconds are necessary for perfect demagnetization procedure.
