Get rid of amplifier transformer hum
When too much DC voltage gets into a larger amplifier's toroidal transformer, the voltage gets oversaturated and the amplifier itself starts to hum. While that hum isn't audible through your speakers, it's not a pleasant sound at all and can get in the way when you're trying to enjoy lower-volume listening sessions. The DC Blocker is a forward-thinking product from iFi that was designed to fix this exact problem. It does so by soaking up any residual DC voltage from the main line going into your amp and dissipating it internally.
The DC Blocker plugs into the rear IEC outlet on compatible amplifiers. Its small, unobtrustive form factor means it won't get in the way of any other connectors, cables, or sockets. Installation is easy: just plug the DC Blocker in to your amplifier, plug your amplifier's power cable into the DC Blocker, and enjoy hum-free performance.
