Fanny Herring; Broadside; Exchange Hall, Fisherville, NY (from the papers it was with); May 10, 1871; Herring is described as “the Brilliant New York Comedienne, Pantomimist and Vocalist;” appearing in a Double Bill of “Stage Struck” and “Handy Andy” with Thomas H. Burns (“the past season at the Globe Theatre Boston, the acknowledged exponent of Irish Comedy, Dance and Song”); Prof. Frederick Muller (eminent solo Violinist and without rival in the world); and some of the other actors are promoted as being from J. B Booth’s Boston Theatre, Arch St Theatre Philadelphia, Detroit Opera House, Boston Museum, New York Olympic Theatre; approx 5" x 15 ½", laid down to paper; edge wear, paper loss, which has been stabilized with archival tape; all-in-all, Good Condition

"Fanny" Herring, well known to the habitues of the Old Bowery, New York, when under the management of Gates.
