DUTCH SCHOOL 1872 - ANIMATED SCENE - CHILDREN AND A HORSE - PENCIL DRAWING

Description

For sale is this charming 19th century Dutch drawing, a find in Northern Holland.
The drawing, executed in pencil and red chalk on 19th century paper, depicts a gril, seated on a horse.  A boy seems to help her stepping off.
Authorship : the drawing is from the Dutch Romantic School, possibly signed top right (left part of the inscription).  The inscription tells us that the artist was a member of the famous (and still existing) Haarlem artist's club, founded in 1772.
Period : the drawing is dated top right "Novemb. 1872".
Size : 21x29,4cm.
Condition : Good.  Some scattered dirt throughout.  Right side : some small spots.  Top corner left : slight traces of folding.  Corners right : tiny fragments of paper missing.  Unframed.

Important : I will get back on the road for markets on the 30th of August.  The first one will be in Bologna, Italy on the 31th.  From Italy, I'll be travelling to the South of France for the three international pro antiques markets in combination with some local events.  This will keep me in the South of France till the 9th of September.  Thereafter, I'll be returning to Italy (Tuscany), where we'll be competing in the cycling race GRAN FONDO STRADE BIANCHE in Sienna.  The race will be on at September 12.  On the 14th, we're getting back to Belgium with just a brief stop near Munich.  I'll be back home on the 16th.  This way, I won't be able to ship during this period.  Shipments will re-start right away after my return on the 16th of September.  Sales will continue and communication won't be a problem (first sales ending on the 1th of September).
