This a Washington Capitals Sandow SK Dureen Home Jersey of Darren Vietch the Capitals First Round Draft Pick #5 Overall in the 1980 NHL Entry Draft. Darren would play his Junior hockey with the Regina Pats WCHL from 1976-80 before joining the Caps for the 1981 season. Darren would play 6 seasons with the Capitals before moving onto Detroit and Toronto and then have a long career in Minor Leagues and also Europe before ending his career in 1999 in Phoenix-WCHL and also be the Assistant Coach during his final season. During the 1993-94 season he would win the Govenors Trophy in the IHL with the Peoria Rivermen scoring 21 goals and 54 assists. This is a great piece of Capitals memorabilia from a former respected and much accomplished player to have for your collection. This jersey is from the Capitals training camp series in 1980-82 in Sweden and also used for the team photos during those seasons.
