This auction is for a great original 1985 Cocoon movie press kit.  This was a classic movie and included in this set is a rare screening ticket for Samuel Goldwyn Theatre Beverley Hills
California
.  There is also 16 black and white stills and a rare press photo of Tyrone Power by his press representative Barry Landau.  A great 35mm slide of Ron Howard and plenty of production information.
These original, physical movie press kits have become very collectible as film studios have completely moved away from producing these physical press kits and have instead elected to produce digital kits or dvd's which they simply mail out to media organizations or link to on a server via email. These complete, physical kits in collectable condition are far scarcer and typically only several hundred were produced which makes them among the scarcer forms of movie related memorabilia. These kits have firmly secured a place in pop culture and are sought after collectibles which are only becoming scarcer and more valuable as the years go on.
