ITEM:  These are the historically profound boyhood artworks of Dr. Arthur Lothar Tilo Alt who lived in Berlin, West Germany at the time of WWII.  I attended his estate sale and received these artworks while purchasing many items from his vast library.
I believe his collection was worth preserving, POSSIBLY MUSEUM WORTHY, because much personal artwork from a child's perspective does not exist due to the conflict, especially in Germany
    .
The artist:  Dr. Arthur Lothar Tilo Alt, age 88 passed away at Franklin Manor, Younsgsville, NC on December 29, 2019. He was born on October 14, 1931 to the late Karl Arthur Alt and Editha Puhlman Alt. He was born in Batavia, Java, Indonesia. The family returned to their native Germany in 1933 where Tilo grew up in West Berlin.
Dr. Alt was a Professor of German in Yiddish language and literature in the Department of Germanic languages and literature‘s and the Judaic studies program at Duke University. He had published extensively in both fields with special emphasis on modernism in Yiddish literature.
