Community Chevrolet is a new/used car dealership located in Burbank, CA and family owned for over 60 years. We have a huge passion for all cars especially collector cars of all makes and models. "Stunning" is the word that best describes this Custom built 1955 Ford Fairlane 2 Door Club Sedan! Built in 2007 time frame by a custom shop out of GA and featured in February 2008 issue of "Super Rod" magazine. This car looks and drives like a recent build and a testament to a quality job well done. The Delstar Black PPG paint is amazing as per pictures with a mirror finish and one of the best we have seen. The paint and finish is amazing along with all exterior trim. The body appears stock in appearance but with some nice customization to accommodate the modern upgrades.  Definitely the focal point of the car is the paint and trim work to create the custom rod look out of the 1950's with modern appeal.
Powered by a GM 350 crate motor rated at 290hp w/ 4 barrel carburetor featuring some nice performance and appearance upgrades.  We just fired the car up yesterday and logged 40 miles starting right up after sitting for a few weeks.  Many neat custom accents under the hood from the air cleaner to pinstriping on the firewall. We have logged 400-500 miles on this car and pleasure to drive and one of our favorites. The 700R4 transmission with overdrive allows for very friendly highway cruising and works well with 3.73 GM 10 bolt limited slip rear end.  Vehicle has nice plenty of power in our opinion and a nice rumble coming from the Flowmaster exhaust system.
The car rides very smooth receiving assistance from a front clip from a 1969 Camaro, Fatman 2" drop spindles, custom 4 bar rear suspension, power steering and rear Air shock system. Features  Wilwood 4 wheel disc brake system with 12" rotors hidden behind the Custom wheels and White Wall tires.  Front rims are 15x7 and rear are 15x10 and no apparent rubbing in our driving experience. Under the dash is the gauge for rear air suspension with trunk mounted compressor and tanks featuring pinstripe accents to continue the theme of the car to the last detail.
The interior is unique in a light green color using NOS material from a 1950's Cadillac that works well with the overall vehicle.  The bench seats, dash and trim are in good condition with original speedometer and gauges to stay with original theme. Fuel and engine temp gauges seem accurate and vehicle runs nice and cool in summer conditions from our driving experience. Some nice cruising tunes supplied from Panasonic stereo unit with CD player and trunk mounted sub woofer/amp.
Some additional upgrades such as EZ wiring, Ididit steering column with tilt wheel also included. The undercarriage is highly detailed and professionally done to match the quality of the build along with the detailed engine bay and trunk area as you can see from the pictures/video.  Here is what we are aware of that doesn't work or is needed on car:  A/C system not blowing cold air, horn inoperative, speedometer was working and stopped but currently inop along with odometer. Also, the drivers upper door needs some adjustment and will stick at top at times when opening.
The vehicle comes with a high quality laminated poster board with the "Super Rod" magazine article out lining the details to the build and has a clean CA title. Pictures of the VIN plate are included. Cannot say enough good things about this vehicle and a pleasure to drive and just admire. Top to bottom it was built right in our opinion and the Black paint/trim quality must be seen to be appreciated

We will normally provide you title within 5-10 days of sale by overnight carrier once full payment is received and cleared. Again, vehicles are sold AS-IS just like at the major auctions with no guaranties or warranties just like when we have to purchase the vehicle from a private party, auction or outside source. We can assist with transportation quotes and loading but not responsible for actions or any damage of vehicle while in transit. We reserve the right to remove the listing at any time.
