November 2nd, 1937 game used hockey jersey worn by Chicago Blackhawks Forward Mush March at the Howie Morenz Memorial Game played at the Montreal Forum
Comes with full letter of authenticity from the March family
Howie Morenz was one of the first true NHL superstars for the Montreal Canadiens, winning three Hart Trophies as NHL MVP, and as well as three Stanley Cups
Morenz died on March 8th, 1937 as a result of complicates from an in-game injury at just 34 years old. The Howie Morenz Memorial Game was played between a team of NHL All-Stars and a team of stars from the two Montreal-based clubs; the Canadiens and Montreal Maroons
Mush March wore this jersey in the game, wearing #14 for the game
March played 761 NHL games in 17 NHL seasons, all for the Blackhawks
Notable for in 1931 becoming the first player to score at Toronto's legendary Maple Leaf Gardens, and in 1934, becoming the first player to score a Stanley Cup clinching goal in overtime
Excellent condition considering its age. Some small holes on the back and a minor stain below the 1, likely from game use. Some very light soiling on the sleeve cuffs
Size: 27" top to bottom, 22" sleeves, 18" across the chest
