MOSCOW, November 22. /TASS/. The level of trust among the Russian public in President Vladimir Putin remained at 78.8%, the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM) showed in its survey.
The poll was conducted from November 11-17 and included 1,600 respondents aged 18 and older.
“When asked directly if they trusted Putin, 78.8% of participants responded affirmatively (no change), while the approval rating for the president’s job performance was 75.5% (a decrease of 0.8%),” the report from the social service reads.
Approximately 49.8% of those polled expressed approval of how the Russian government is managing the country (a decrease of 0.2%), while 52% approved of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin’s performance (an increase of 0.2%). The percentage of respondents who said they trust Mishustin was 61.4% (an increase of 1.1%).
Regarding the leaders of parties represented in parliament, 33.5% of those surveyed trust Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) leader Gennady Zyuganov (an increase of 2.4%), 27% trust A Just Russia-For Truth party leader Sergey Mironov (an increase of 0.1%), 23.1% trust Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) head Leonid Slutsky (an increase of 1.2%), and 8.9% trust New People party chairman Alexey Nechayev (no change).
The level of popular support for the ruling United Russia party stood at 36.2% (a decrease of 0.3%). Support for the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) decreased by 0.2% to 9.7%, while backing for the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) rose by 0.3% to 10.4%. Support for A Just Russia-For Truth party increased by 0.3% to 3.9%, while backing for the New People party grew by 0.3% to 6.3%.
